Parking the lay-by
Description
The beat runs from the Riverview Leisure Park (caravan park) at Barnard Castle to approximately 300 metres east of Manyfold Beck at the bend in the river; near North Park Cottage on Mortham Lane. The section near the Abbey Bridge is difficult to access due to sheer cliff face but more agile anglers can get down to the river with care. The lower section is easily reached from the public footpath.
Quarry species are: Brown Trout and Grayling with the possibility of a Sea Trout or Salmon.
The following dates apply to fishing on our waters.
Trout: 16th April - 30th September.
Salmon and Sea Trout: 1st Feb - 31st Oct.
Grayling: 16th June - 14th March.
Every member must complete and return a catch return form at the end of the season.

You must hold a valid EA Rod Licence and one of the following tickets prior to fishing at River Tees South:
Membership
If you purchased your ticket online via Castbooker, please bring your confirmation email and some form of identification with you when you fish as you may need to show them to a Bailiff (this can be printed or on your phone).
Stock
Quarry species are: Brown Trout and Grayling with the possibility of a Sea Trout or Salmon.
Wading is possible on the downstream section but further up there are some very deep pools.
