Night fishing is permitted to all senior members with a full club licence (Semtex only licence is day only) although a syndicate will be in place once the lake has been developed. The current carp stock is around 60 fish to 27lb. The lake also contains some fantastic tench, roach, perch, pike, bream and eels.
Wyesham is one of the most scenic stretches in the lower reaches, unspoilt countryside and fantastic fishing. The stretch is considerable in length so there’s plenty of scope for exploring with a float or to roam with a feeder rod. Large numbers of barbel inhabit this stretch to 10lb plus. Mostly unexplored for pike there’s always the possibility of a specimen to those willing to put the hours in.
Please be aware there are seasonal restrictions on access to Wyesham, the stretch has a salmon ghillie who regularly bailiffs . Members receive the gate code on joining.
