Gipping Angling Preservation Society or GAPS is one of East Anglia's friendliest and most progressive clubs that an angler could join. Whatever type of fishing appeals you will find a water that will satisfy your needs.
Prime stretches of the River Gipping for coarse fishing including speciman Chub, Roach, Tench & Bream.
Specimen waters with Carp to 35lb+, Tench and Bream to double figures.
Picturesque lakes and with Pike to 25lb+, Zander, Large shoals of big Bream and Roach.
Small intimate ponds in get away from it all locations, with fantastic access and great pole and waggler fishing.
Angling complex with three waters with toilets and safe environment that all the family can enjoy.
An up and coming, competitive but friendly match scene.
Junior match scene.
All looked after by a strong Committee, water management team and competent bailiff presence to bring you the best sport possible.
Membership for 2019 season is available from June and joining the club could not be easier and as long as you respect the club and waters you will have a great time.

GAPS has an open policy of membership, encouraging existing members to rejoin and welcoming new members.
To join or renew online click the relevant button below and complete your details. Your membership booklet will be delivered via email, should you wish to pick up a physical membership book please contact the club to arrange.
Basic Rules and Regulations Governing all GAPS Fisheries (also see rules governing individual fisheries in the membership books):
No fires .
No fuel burning lamps.
No fish to taken away or brought to fisheries (except Dead Sea fish bait).
No live-baiting with fish on any Society water. (Ratified at the 2004 AGM).
All swims to be kept clear of litter always.
Do not dig away banks or interfere with trees or plants of any kind.
Fishing from numbered pegs only (where provided).
No more than two persons to occupy any one peg.
No more than two rods per angler, except for three rods applying to the period from October through to April on all waters.
Vehicles must be parked in designated areas only. Mopeds/Motorcycles are not allowed on the banks.
Observe any Special Notices that may be erected and do not occupy any reserved pegs.
No unauthorised guests to be taken to any fishery.
Do not obstruct any Public Footpath with fishing tackle, etc.
No pre-baiting of swims allowed.
Fishing allowed only from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset (accept where Night fishing is Permitted) and the property must be vacated during the hours of darkness.
No radios or other broadcasting equipment allowed
