River Anker Station Fields
The station fields stretch of the river Anker can be accessed via the road named stationfields near the railway station by the town centre.
The stretch runs from the railway bridge down to the viaduct and has a mix of deep slow and fast shallow runs.
Home to a variety of species including barbel, chub, tench, bream, roach, dace, ruffe, pike, perch and gudgeon
River Anker Moor Lane
This stretch runs on the opposite bank to the Station fields stretch
and runs from the railway bridge up to the end of the next meadow, know to have a variety of species
including, ruffe tench bream and even carp, plus the usual suspects of roach perch chub etc
You must hold a valid EA Rod Licence and one of the following tickets prior to fishing at River Anker:

If you purchased your ticket online via Castbooker, please bring your confirmation email and some form of identification with you when you fish as you may need to show them to a Bailiff (this can be printed or on your phone).
